here it is, new year’s eve. i’m not dressed as i originally thought. i wish i was rocking a tie tonight to be honest. i’m sure i’ll find some reason to dress up in the next week or so. i don’t want to be out of place for a more casual gathering. so every year, for obvious reasons, i turn to this song, “resolution” by motion city soundtrack. it’s definitely not the happiest one you’ll ever hear, but it fits with the new year quickly approaching. a lot of people are making resolutions right now. i’ve made some over the years. i had successes and failures in them. i’ve decided to forgo one this year for a better plan. instead of changing something during the upcoming year i want to be a better me than i was the previous day. i want to grow myself in some area day to day, whether that means quitting, starting, improving, etc something. i don’t know how much success i’ll have each day, but i’m going to try my best. hopefully i’ll look back on some future date and see some growth. i’m looking forward to the new year. it has a lot of potential, and i’m going to make the most of it. happy new year everyone!
